Dude, don't cry :( .

Felipe Massa has lost the 2008 F1 GP by 1 point. he led the pack from start to end of race, and at the finish line, his whole team though he has won the championship. Jubilation and exhilaration filled the Scuderia Ferrari Garage and the Brazilian people. However, Toyota's strategy of sticking with Dry Tires botched up Massa's Championship.

On the final laps, Hamilton was trailing at 5th place. he only needed to go up by one more place to emerge champion. He let Sebastien Vettel in his Toro Rosso pass him on one turn, dropping to 6th Place. However, on the last lap, Hamilton managed to pass a slowing Timo Glock (Toyota). Toyota had decided to stick to dry tires for the rest of the race, despite the incoming rain on the final laps. However, disaster struck on the last lap. Rain poured onto the circuit, making it difficult for dry treads to find grip. Glock was like a ice-skater on a skating rink, sliding across the circuit, allowing Hamilton to pass him and secure fifth place, and of course, the 2008 F1 GP Championship. (damnit)

:( Poor Massa, he finished first, much earlier than the rest, even before Hamilton and the rest crossed the line, so almost the whole world though he won. However behind him back on the track, a chain of incidents allowed Hamilton to secure fifth place, snatching away the hard-earned championship Massa held on to for a few minutes.

Massa won the race, but lost the championship. What a cocktail of feelings he must have felt on the podium :( Cruel reality.

But...there's always next season, and the world's convinced Massa is the better driver. Why?

Massa should have won the Championship, probably even earlier than the Singapore leg of the race.

Massa's engine blew in the first leg of the race, Melbourne, denying him of any points. While Hamilton won the race. (obviously not Massa's fault right)

Massa slided 5 times off track in Silverstone, Britain. Ferrari's weren't made for the wet.
Hamilton won, showing the world he is the master of the wet. However, Britain is his hometown, it is his home track, isn't it obligatory that he wins?

Massa's engine let him down again in Hungary. He was leading throughout the race, but with only 3 laps to go, the engine failed, denying him of points.
Hamilton finished fifth.

Massa's Pit Crew screwed up in Singapore. Massa finished 13th, zero points.
Hamilton finished third.

So sad eh. If Massa's engine did not blow on those 2 occasions, he would have already won the championship. The Singapore loss was a final blow on Ferrari, leaving them a super slim chance of winning. And in the hands of the man upstairs, Massa lost the championship, although he won the final race in Brazil, with the support of his countrymen.
