HQ NCC Shooting Competition 2008 Update....

Hi peeps. 0-0 :)

Ok time for the update. Hi marksmen. I called up Yishun Safra to see if I could book anymore slots for you guys, but unfortunately, all of October and November has been fully booked. They also seem reluctant to do it in the evenings i guess. Maybe all evenings are packed too. So erms, yah, not much time for you guys to train left, only have 1 for Part As, 1 for Parts Bs. So Part As will be this Saturday. So be punctual. I might be late as I would be in school for your seniors' Part B leadership camp. The most i can do for you guys now is give all of you the lion's share of that 3 hours? So most probably i am going to dedicate 2 hours dedicated to Part As this Saturday. So make best use of it. :)

Honestly. You guys are more or less ready for the competition. All you have to do is stay calm. Sir Goh says it too ok...

Thank you for the update. Basically, you need to emphasise to the Sec. 1s that they have all the time to get a good grouping as there is no timing for each grouping. They have a tendency to "rush" their shots just like other competitors from other schools. They must be reminded not to follow suit. It's alright if everyone is waiting for them to finish the grouping. As this is the first time they are in a competition, they must be ready psychologically as well.
As for the part Bs, they have to train more unsupported shooting as it's always the one to pull the score down.

So you guys heard the man. Do not rush (I emphasised on that countless times already). Please do not rush really. Just take your time. The Canadian bull target can't shoot you back, i assure you. Shoot slowly. Control your breath. Relax your arms after each shot. Close your eyes. And PLEASE BE REMINDED BOTH PART AS AND BS. AFTER YOUR FIRST ZEROING, DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT ADJUST YOUR SANDBAG ANYMORE! yeps.

For The Part Bs. So you guys will be doing more unsupported the next Saturday. 2 hours dedicated to you people also. Make the best of it. it'll be intensive training again.

All the best shooters. I have done as much as i could for you guys alr. The best way you guys can reciprocate is go to HQ, and make us proud. :) Don't let me down! If you can't make it into the top 10, don't say I was the one who taught/trained you guys. :S :S :S
