Mr Tan finally marked all of my essays for me today! (: haha

He marked them all today afternoon in a short span of 1 and a half hours. We went through all the essays I have written for him and he have not marked. haha. One dated back to March!

After today's session, we have both come to a conclusion that I am truly more adept at writing expositions rather than narratives.

The 3 narratives I have written scored really low marks.

My Essay on Poverty - 15/30
Time - 17/30
Faith - Fail, "I don't think I want to give a mark for this [la]"

sigh.

My Expositions.

Charity Exposed (Mr Tan said, "that's an oxymoron!") - 21/30 Good logic, but I needed to put in some examples. Felt like a thesis with no justification, that's why I only got a 21.

Media Exposed - 23/30 Strong Level 2 essay. To make it to level 3, write on how to improve the media. (: okay, I didn't think of that, but if I did my essay would hit a thousand words!

Mr Tan is considering starting an Exposition class to cater to students who are more adept at writing expositions, so he can help us polish our exposition writing skills. Most probably I'll do exposition for O levels, unless a freak topic like "how to control crowds" comes out, like in 2001.

Cross fingers. Improve on EXPO! haha
