Probational Training. :)

First probational training for the NCOs-to-be today, so the Part A Specs and I were able to slack. :) (Maybe Ernest didn't get to slack much as he was the MC for the Affirmation Ceremony).

Toh Hong and his team kick-started training by teaching the Part As Ta'at Sedia (raise your hand for the oath/pledge). The Part As pick up fast, which is a good thing. :)

Next was the Combined Affirmation Ceremony. Along with NCC land, we welcomed the Secondary 1 students into the NCC family, whether to the Air or to the Land unit. It was boring actually. Really. Although it was the first time I actually got to salute when the National Anthem was played. haha. :)

We didn't really resume normal training. We did PDS instead of basic footdrills and PT. :) (Yes, Sec 1s, I know that I mentioned no drills or PT this training, but its your future UDI's and Specs' probational training, give them some 'face'). Sec 1 PDS. I think they picked up quite fast also. :D

We had Recreational Training for the first time today. :) For the first group we played a modified version of Captain's Ball within the boundaries of half a basketball court. I suspect it was a little mixture of touch Rugby, and the original Captain's Ball. Was really wild.

Played full-court basketball with the second group. Even more wild. Pretty rough. and there was endless laughter. :) Teamwork.

The best is yet to come. :)

And and and, during the Affirmation Ceremony, a video was played. There was a section in the video which played a portion of the 2005 Affirmation Ceremony, which was the Affirmation Ceremony I attended when I was in Secondary 1 at the Singapore Indoor Stadium. Nostalgia. It was looking back in time. The kite performance...etcetera etcetera. Then I was sec 1. Now I'm an NCO already about to pass his baton on to someone else. Time Flies. :/
