The all new U2 album! Still my favourite band. A bunch of old Irishmen who still know how to rock. :) They're the only rockband I listen to. I guess 迷路兵 was just a passing phase.

It's inspiring to see U2 stick to the old straight-up rock. Times have changed, but U2 hasn't. Their songs are all still full of meaning. Songs of the past like Sunday Bloody Sunday, New York and One have very deep meanings. Apart from that, the cooing of Bono, the brilliant use of the electric guitar by The Edge, the bass touch of Adam Clayton's Bass Guitar and Larry Mullen's consistent drum beat is what make U2 work, even today. :D

I still can remember Larry Mullen at first refusing to play the super difficult drum beat of Sunday Bloody Sunday as he needed to use a click track, and he abhorred click tracks then. But after realising that many great drummers out there use click tracks (although he also is a great drummer), he decided to play the drums for Sunday Bloody Sunday, with the help of the click track. That's why we've got the song Sunday Bloody Sunday with the familiar marching beat today. :) (BTW, the song Sunday Bloody Sunday is about the conflict in Ireland).

And, U2 is a band with a heart. haha. Throughout their career, as a band and as individuals, they have campaigned for human rights and social justice causes, including Amnesty International, the ONE Campaign, and Bono's DATA (Debt, AIDS, Trade in Africa) campaign.
